The Real Residents

Meet the Farm Pets

Every face in our storybooks belongs to somebody real. These are the animals who live on our farm — painted from life, whiskers, extra toes and all.

Watercolour portrait of Daisy, a small tan-and-white chihuahua and papillon dog with tall upright ears and a curled tail, lying on a round cushion in a sunlit room

Daisy

Our chihuahua × papillon elder — nine years old, ten pounds, grey frosting on her muzzle, and first claim on the sunny spot on the couch.

Watercolour portrait of Jojo, a small black-and-tan miniature pinscher and Yorkie dog with one ear up and the other flopped, standing in an autumn farmyard beside a large orange pumpkin

Jojo

Two years old and pure spark — a miniature pinscher × Yorkie with one ear up and the other doing its own thing.

Watercolour portrait of Mittens, a black-and-white tuxedo cat with green eyes, raising one white front paw with extra toes, her toy basket and food bowl behind her

Mittens

Our tuxedo lady at sixteen — white blaze, green eyes, and six toes on each front paw. Yes, six.

Watercolour portrait of Lola, a long-haired grey tabby cat with green eyes and long white whiskers, sitting in a green garden beside a white pumpkin

Lola

Rescued at one week old and raised right here — a grey Siberian tabby, six years old, with whiskers for days.

Watercolour portrait of Peaches, a fluffy orange-and-white cat with a pink nose, sitting on a floral rug in a cozy farmhouse room

Peaches

Lola's brother and fellow rescue — a big, fluffy orange-and-white gentleman with a pink nose.

Watercolour portrait of Sancheska, a pale pink axolotl with feathery pink gills, swimming toward the viewer among bubbles in her tank

Sancheska

The farm's axolotl — pale pink, feathery-gilled, two years old, and star of our daily tank tales.

Watercolour portrait of Moon, a chestnut mare with a slim white moon-shaped streak on her forehead, standing by a wooden fence in a green pasture

Moon

Our chestnut mare, twenty-three years young — named for the slim white moon-streak on her forehead.

Portrait to come

Velocihen

Our Deathlayer hen — the eighth chair. Her portrait is still to come; for now, her seat at the table is saved.

Their sticker pack and colouring book are on the way — painted from these very portraits.
